Pewter and stainless steel are durable, slow to tarnish (the shiny will fade a little like silver does but can be shined right up) and they definitely will not turn you green.
tid-bit: this jewelry is pewter casted! I sculpt the pendant out of clay and then cast in a high heat silicone. This creates a mold that I can then pour molten metal into. After polishing and refining, this molten pewter turns into my beautiful pendants. Truly such a joy to make!!!!!
